The standard controls on Slimline Turbo-mist airblast sprayers areelectrics.
All units have a three-valve system, which includes one valve for each boom (side) and one valve as a bypass to protect the pump during startup from over pressuring as well as during operation. This bypass valve is wired opposite to the boom valves, that is when either boom valve is opened, the bypass closes or when a boom valve is closed the bypass opens. This is to avoid pressure spikes in the system that can damage diaphragms, and greatly contributes to longer diaphragm life in our machines. In addition, a ball valve is placed between the tank and the bypass valve which allows the operator to adjust the volume being bypassed to equal the amount exiting the boom, this feature allows the operator to shut off one side of his machine (one boom) and maintain an even pressure, thus his calibration remains the same. This allows the operator to spray the outside row with assurance that he is applying the same volume of chemical as when he sprays between rows. This is a great convenience issue and one that salespeople should be sure the customer is aware of.
REGULATOR: Pressure regulator, diaphragm operated with tungsten carbide relief valve & stainless steel seat. Liquid filled pressure gauge. Some 2004 models have remote cable control regulator to allow the operator to adjust the pressure from the tractor seat.
CONTROLS OPTIONS ON AIRBLAST SPRAYERS.
1. CABLE CONTROLS - Morse cables are available in exchange for electrics on some models, at no extra cost.
2. HYDRAULIC CONTROLS - Factory ordered hydraulic controls are available when ordering machines. When hydraulic controls are ordered on diaphragm pump equipped machines, three way ball valves with a bypass to the tank are utilized to avoid over pressuring of the pump. This feature is not necessary on centrifugal pump equipped models. PLEASE NOTE: TWO SPOOLS, FOUR OUTLETS ARE REQUIRED ON THE TRACTOR TO UTILIZE TURBO-MIST HYDRAULIC CONTROLS.
In the last three years about 75% of all orders have been for hydraulic valves
