HOP KITS - THIRD OUTLET ADDITIONTurbomist offers three different solutions for hop growers. Two kits plus one tower. The hop kits were developed for Coleman farms back in the early 1990’s and the new Hop tower was developed in spring 2008 to give improved coverage for the new 18 feet row width now popular in the Yakima area.
DELUXE HOP KIT with lights
This is an additional rear outlet that is added between the turbine and the standard rear outlets. It is adjustable, just like the regular rear outlets. It has the air outlet pointing straight up to provide coverage to the top of the canopy when the hops have reached the top wires.
This unit has its own electric valve and switch on the electric control box on the tractor fender. It can be turned either on or off; it is not split side to side with the regular rear outlets.
The light kit consists of two lights that are also wired with a switch into the electrical control box on the tractor fender.
BASIC HOP KIT (shown above)
Differs from the deluxe hop kit in that it has no lights, and rather than its own electric control for the center outlet that boom is split left and right with the regular rear outlets |
