RECOVERY SPRAYERS - TWO ROWS AT A TIMETurbomist trailer sprayers can be equipped with recovery technology, their are currently over 45 turbomist units out in North America, mostly 400 gallon but a few smaller units for very narrow situtations. The average customer feedback all agree they save around 37% of their chemicals annually, much more in the spring but less in the full summer foliage to give this 37% average figure. Most customer orginally purchased this technology because of visibility issues, on Long Island New York we have 7 machines spraying where they have huge traffic and slow acceptance of chemicals, but require spraying to survive, the recovery hoods allow them to spray without being spotted, and also allow spraying in a wind. The saving turned out to be just a plus. They also save one tractor and one operator, as these are mostly two row units. You will require at least a 20 ft head land to make the turn, but the saving more than makes up for that. This is simply pressure spraying, no air is added, nor needed. We sold only one unit in the above total and really no change in coverage is noticable.
