MULTI- ROW GRAPE SPRAYERSTurbomist build two and three row grape sprayers that utilize hydraulically driven fans to produce the air. The customer will design this unit to his needs, using either 4 or 8 fans in the two row configuration or 6 or 12 fans in the 3 row configuration. The fans are hooked in series and Turbomist prefers to utilize a 40 gallon oil reservoir on a 3t hitch, which also contains the pump, a Udor Ro160. The unit is a closed loop system, that is no tractor oil is utilized, nor are any tractor hydraulics. The hydraulic fan multirow units have an electric over hydraulic system and joysticks to manouver the booms, the further you push the joystick, the faster they raise or fold or both. The booms are designed to be adjustable for different row widths, the speed of the fans can be controlled from the tractor seat and because of the large volume of air right at the target, it is comman to spray at 5-6 mph allowing one machine to cover a 100 acres in a long day. The advantages to thsi system include: - Excellent coverage due to small water droplets utilizing visiflow teejet TK-vk color coded ceramic tip nozzles. Typical volumes sprayed are 25 to 50 gpa. -High speed of travel due to improved coverage -Reduced drift due to close proximity to the target -Low horsepower tractor needed (35-40hp) means low fuel consumption - Unit setup to operate at 450 RPM PTO to give fan speed required by save fuel -Lower labor costs, one machine with one tractor and driver will replace 3 tractors and 3 drivers for a three row machine. -Flexibility of both high and low volumes, this unit can spray from 25 gpa to 400 gpa as required.
