Most Turbomist sprayers come standard with mechanical agitation driven off the pto, with few exceptions, the 150 series trailer model is chain driven while the 250/350 and 450 series are driven by timing belt with tensioner.  This option uses one spool (2 holes) on your tractor hydraulics to drive the mehanical agitation in the tank. 

The advantages of hydraulically driven agitation is the ability to run your agitation without the pto, thus you have no need to place the unit in neutral. This is useful if you must drive down a public roadway to reach your block, you can travel a great distance and maintain a good mix of solutions in your tank.  This option also allows you to control the speed of the agitator by adjusting the flow restrictor.  Units with both electric or hydraulic controls can utilize this option
